Throughout the month of August, as the staff of Dignity Foundation observed World Alzheimer’s Month with on-ground activation and awareness for Dementia Care among senior citizens, we also launched the ADC with keynote addresses. In Kolkata and Delhi NCR, gerontologist Sudeshna Saha whose interests lie in Dementia spoke extensively about the need for a pan-India association which works on the three pillars of Awareness, Advocacy and Care. Similar launches were held in Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore and Pune where the respective managers highlighted the objectives and goals of the association. The caregiving staff and managers of Dignity Foundation’s Dementia Day Care Centre provided their full support for the launch of the ADC in the respective cities of Chennai, Mumbai, Pune, New Delhi and recently launched DDC in Kolkata.
